Her life destroyed in the Second Apocalypse, Melissa sets out alone to become an Archsussa and save her family, but gains weight as a result of the need to remain awake continuously for training. Melissa struggles with self-esteem and acceptance as she journeys to make new friends and avenge the death of her father by defeating the Freilux.
