For Bern Wood there's nothing scarier than butterflies, which are worse than vegetables and spontaneous penguin attacks. Despite his compulsion otherwise he accepts a job at Nik's Knacks, a curio shop unlike any other. Then again, he didn't know when he took the job that the store traveled through time and would strand him in an unknown land.
