Janine follows her impulsive cousin, Saphyre, to Istanbul, Turkey and finds she has disappeared after visiting a place known as "The Grand Archives". There is a dark secret at work: a young woman caretaker, handwritten autobiographies and a grotesquely beautiful lamp. Will Janine ever be reunited with her beloved cousin, or will Saphyre simply vanish like so many have before?
