Private Duty

“Mona Lee, you have a call holding on line two. Mona Lee, you have a call holding on line two.”
She hated being paged over the loud speaker. It almost always meant that there was something going on that she didn’t really want to be bothered with at the moment.
Besides, she was on lunch. Couldn’t a woman atleast have thirty minutes to eat a sandwich?
She sighed, shoving her half eaten sandwich into her lunch bag.
This job was for the birds, and she was ready to give it up.
She stood up from her seat, stopping to smile at her friend, Thomas Peterson. Thomas worked as a second shift nurse, but today he had come in three hours early to help out the first shift nurses.
“Hey Thomas,” she greeted, giving him a gentle pat on the shoulder.
“Hello Mona. What unit are you on today?”
Mona sighed. “Three East. I am so ready to go home.”
Thomas smirked.
“Yeah, I’m on the Pediatric unit today. I must say, I love it.”
Mona sat down next to him and traced his hand with her index finger.
“There’s something so sweet about a man who loves kids,’ she whispered seductively in his ear.
Thomas smiled.
“I love women that are sexy too. Women like you.”
Mona smiled.
“Why don’t we go down to the locker room for a minute? I have something I want to show you.”
Thomas stared up into Mona’s grey eyes. They were so beautiful.
“Come on, let’s go.”
As the two stood to leave, Tina Johnson, the first shift supervisor met them in the doorway.
“Well, hello. Mona, they were paging you to the floor for a phone call. I took it for you so that you could enjoy your lunch. And go ahead and take a few extra minutes.”
“Thank you so much,” Mona replied with a smile as Thomas took her hand into his.
“Good to see you, Tina,” he said, staring at her double‘d’ breasts.
“You too, Thomas. Be sure to come by my office before you leave so that I can make sure you get paid for coming in today.”
Thomas nodded, the grip on Mona’s hand tightening.
‘Let’s get out of here,” Mona whispered, her voice filled with seduction.
“You read my mind.”
