In a world overrun by plague and madness, four survivors have banded together as a new family, led by a man with many weaknesses but a few exceptional talents. Their goal: to reach a legendary city where casinos have become castles against the pandemic. But first they will have to deal with zombies, gushers, lepers, and bikers, and most formidable of all: their own pasts.
