The Empire: an idyllic land of high mountains and fertile plains enclosed by a hundred-foot-high impenetrable wall; what lies outside this wall is unknown. Book One ("The Grimoire") serves as an introduction to the Empire and its characters but it also contains its own story line. Book One will be followed by "Alwyn's Empire, Book 2: The Mirrorworld."
