“Googies Bar and Other Natural Phenomena” is about a gay bar in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. The two main characters are “the boys sipping tequila through peppermint striped straws” They become involved in a series of misadventures with U-boat Captain Hans who is looking for a crew of healthy youths.
