The Box Factory

Saoirse Thompson is a suicidal adolescent. Bullied at school and returning to a bleak, poverty, stricken home, Saoirse starts to question her life before becoming overwhelmed by the mundane, robotic, zombie-like pointlessness of it all and committing suicide only to be saved by her mother.

While trying to find a morsel of hope and meaning in her life, Saoirse stumbles across Peter in the woods. Tall, lean and a little outré, Saoirse with reckless and uncharacteristic abandon forms a relationship with Peter as she skips school to meet him in the woods as they form an unbreakable alliance with each other.

Patrick Tiernan, Jason Trayder, Rebecca Townsend and Gary Fuller are four students who construct and maintain an abusive campaign of bullying against Saoirse. Physical and mental abuses are poured down on their victim as they run riot before it all shudders to a stop when they meet Peter, who exerts the same kind of fear and violence they are so used to giving.

Detective Denise Richards moved to Dunbar to get away from sadistic murders and the people who commit them, until a local man goes missing before being found hanging upside down from a tree with ninety percent of his flesh removed.

As the bodies start piling up Detective Denise Richards is forced to face up to the demons from her past when she failed to find an abducted child who was later found, raped and murdered. All their lives intertwine around the small Irish town of Dunbar and the desolate, abandoned, building in the woods just outside the town, that the locals simply call The Box Factory.
