A town's four most popular high-school boys have died in a car accident. A surprise visitor comes to the funeral. He then visits Andrea, the leader of the dead boy's mother. As the rest of Andrea's family falls to ruin, she takes solace in her new friend and tries to figure out what this creature wants. Can anything be done to salvage what remains, or did her family die with the favored son?
