In a stroke of bad luck, Pietro - a nobleman and secret rebel - must oversee the execution of a fellow Wind Tamer when the rebellion's latest attempt failed to break the Pact that "protects" Yon:
"So long as a wall of stone surrounds the Sacred Grove, a mighty wall of wind shall protect the city of Yon."
In the minutes prior to the execution, Pietro deals with his guilt and a surprise confession.
