The Con fictionalizes the author's work with criminals in Western Australia. It gives the reader a ringside seat to those called "criminals", Australian life,the dangers, frustrations and joys of working with offenders, psychological intervention with criminality. It is told with a story teller's flair, complete with a twist in the end. It is difficult to put down, impossible to predict.
