Peter deals with his twin’s suicide by seeking comfort in a society where religions are government-controlled, stripped of negative elements and also of life and energy. He encounters a religious underground seeking to revive freedom of choice, and faces an either/or dilemma of reviving potential violent religious conflict or achieving peace by allowing the energizing spirit to die in the world.
