Zinfandel Beef Stew

This the recipe for a dark and rich beef stew with a deep flavor brought out primarily by the wine and the spices. While the stew is made with lean beef and has little fat added, the flavors are akin to eating a bowl of the best dark brown beef gravy with tender chunks of steak inside.
This stew pairs amazingly well with full bodied red wines.
