Tomato Summer

A young boy named Wayne finds that his first afternoon softball game with the older neighborhood kids turns into an unexpected experience when a ball is hit out of the playing field and over the mysterious and frightening Hedge. When the boy goes to retreive the ball, he comes face to face with the scary "Old Lady Campfen." Wayne is then forced to face the challenge of paying for the damage done to the back porch screen by the softball by working in the old lady's garden.
