CRUEL MESSENGER is a novel about a young sociopath, a ghost and a demon. Their earthly existences intersect, as they always do in this bloody world. The tale starts on a hot summer day. Midwest mob guys are playing softball and conducting some informal, in-house business. They are visited by a demon disguised as a jogger. To paraphrase Shakespeare, there are more things in Heaven, Earth and Hell than we can imagine in our little minds and short lives.
