Bedding the Devil

A young African's royal family is massacred in 1648, beginning a decades-long journey in which he endures slavery, becomes apprenticed to a blacksmith in colonial Virginia, confronts war with native Americans in New England, and recovers his smile through a chain of events he hardly could have imagined.
