Three years ago, Tipti left her home to become the apprentice of the local librarian on remote Elleinad Island. As a gift before parting, her brother gave her a mysterious book that had been in the family's protection for generations. Only after Tipti encounters a stranded scoundrel does she begin to fathom the book's importance - and the lengths some would go through to acquire it.
