THE DANCE OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES

In this historical novel, P.J. Carisella recounts, in detail, the most successful sabotage of World War II. After Italy sided with the Allies, Adolf Hitler became infuriated. Summoning his staff, he gave orders to destroy Rome with its Vatican. Understanding that the plan would turn the world against him, Hitler then opted to gather huge numbers of munitions within the Santa Rosa complex a few miles from Rome, and to explode them at a pre-arranged time, knowing that the blast would have destroyed Rome. An Italian technician working with the underground, however, was able to diffuse the plan and save Rome with its Vatican. Outside of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan, the Santa Rosa complex would have been the largest single explosion of the War. The blast would have more than rocked Saint Peter’s Basilica, and its twelve Jewish Apostles would have tumbled down with the rest of Rome.
