The Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens

MARTIN CHUZZLEWIT is considered the last of Dickens' picaresque novels. One of the few Dickens works set in America, the story follows young Martin Chuzzlewit as immigrates to the New World. This satirical twist portrays America as a near wilderness, with pockets of civilization populated by deceptive, self-promoting hucksters.
