The Creature of Elkader

Carl drives to Cedar Rapids from Wisconsin to pick his son up for an outing. On the way there, he almost strikes an animal who in turn, jumps on the car and starts tearing into the vehicle, causing Carl to crash the vehicle. From there, it is a whirlwind adventure in the short story.
