Alicia Alexander is being blackmailed. She enlists the aid of Taylor Ranch Associates, a detective agency consisting of Pongo and Jeeves, two mutant chimpanzees of extraordinary intelligence who have taught themselve to speak a highflkown English. The detectives succeed in uncoverying and stopping a clever scam that preyed on catlovers. To the surprise of the detectives, this stopped the blackmail. Working out why made them admirers of the inteligence of their client.
