A mother/daughter conversation in which a mom, who is a college English teacher(steeped in romance), tells her daughter a story about a man whe had presumed to be a "fuddy-duddy" when she met him, but as it turned out, he was THE ONE! The daughter is in the middle of having to decide which boy to go to a dance with...one of them she thinks is popular and hot, and the other a nerd. the story her mother tells her helps her make her choice.
