Dreamweaver

Eva is a thief, taking from others what she needs to survive. When an old seer foretells her short, accursed life and suggests a remedy—finding a man of the right sign as her ward, Eva takes the prescription with no qualms even when it means he would die in her stead. After all, the post-apocalyptic world has become a dreamless land darkened by cruelty.

Unfortunately, the man matching the seer’s description, Ainsley, makes it hard by being kind. Eva’s resolve to trade his life for her own is further tested when she is gravely injured and wakes to find herself in a surreal world teeming with the dreams and memories of people she has never met. Through his efforts to sustain Eva, Ainsley has opened a connection between them, allowing her to see into his beautifully terrifying burden. If Ainsley finds a way to wake her, Eva has to choose between her own survival and his, a decision that will affect a world long blackened in night hoping to dream.
