Captain Courageous: My True Story

Captain Courageous is the autobiography of Martin Skylark, also known as “Captain Sky”: An intrepid ship’s captain who cheated death many times. Martin survived being lost at sea when he was only seven weeks old. He was adopted by a Chunk Martin, a Cherokee Indian, but was raised by brutal Aryan sea captain Frank Bootz. Captain Bootz made Martin into an able-bodied seaman at the age of ten, trained him how to kill a man twelve different ways and took him on a trip to Whore Island. The iron-fisted, rigorous training prepared Captain Sky for fifty-seven years at sea, and encounters with pirates, sea monsters and mermaids, as well as surviving being stranded on a remote island. Captain Sky is a man who had a girl in every port and danger constantly at his side. He has lived a rollicking high seas adventure. He is now devoting the remainder of his years to fighting ocean pollution.
