The Temblor of Diablo

A well known geologist and author for a popular science and nature publication is given an assignment to write an article about seismic monitoring stations in California's San Francisco bay area. While there, the new system is put to the test by a 7.3 magnitude earthquake that lays waste to the city of Walnut Creek and leaves hundreds dead, including the geologists he interviewed for the article. While local law enforcement sees these deaths as two more in the growing body count of this tragedy, he calls upon his expertice in science and his connections in the investigative and technology specialties to uncover murder, corruption and cover-up in the multi billion dollar real estate business...
