Fate, Coincidence, and the Outcome of Horse Races

Man, in his search for a better life, tries to plan for the future. But the “Fates” have plans of their own. In the spinning of their tapestry of the universe and of earth with its teeming life forms, the Fates will inevitably leave clues behind them as to what they have been doing and their plans for the past, the present and the future. If we look closely, says Benitez, we can find those indications and clues, snippets of yarn and thread, carelessly discarded by the Fates, and use them to reconstruct what has been going on and what is in store for the future; such as the outcome of a horse race.

Once we have learned how to do this, Benitez says, we can “grab the Fates by the short hair” and slowly begin to rebuild our future (and our past) to something that is more to our liking, improving our luck as we progress, with a consequent improvement of our wisdom.

One way to do this, he says, is by watching for the occurrence of coincidences, particularly at the race track. But his tactics will work equally well for everything in life, including all games of chance and the stock market.
