“We’re over!”
“I want to break up.”
“This just isn’t working out…”
These are all typical phrases used by a person to break up with another, but what happens when the other person just won’t accept, or can’t grasp the concept of, “we’re over”?
For Michael Hastings, this is his reality. His ex-girlfriend, Heather, is stuck in a state of denial. She is use to getting her way with everything in life; and to her, a relationship with Michael should be no different.
But Michael has other plans, goals and dreams. This is his senior year, and as quarterback, he is determined to lead his team all the way to the State Championship. He needs to secure his college scholarship, and if there’s time in between all that, he would like to find someone new to be with.
Michael is blindsided by the mysterious Jazmin and the deep connection he quickly feels toward her. She is beautiful and fun to be with. Meanwhile, Heather is enraged with jealousy and will do everything in her power to ensure this relationship never gets off the ground. But Heather’s masquerade hides nothing from Jazmin, as she sees her for what she truly is – a witch, a very powerful witch.
Distraction for Michael takes on a whole new meaning. Just as he begins to believe and accept the truth about Heather, he discovers that Jazmin has been infected by a vampire.
His feelings for her are put to the ultimate test. What are the limitations of their relationship? Can there even be a relationship? And is she really worth the risk?
Michael finds help, strength and guidance in his younger sister, Molly. He is the only person that knows of her special gift of dream-sharing, and he trusts his sister completely.
Jazmin on the other hand is left with no family; Rebecca is all she has left. She was her grandmother’s best friend, and a former Cherokee medicine woman. Rebecca is the first to diagnose and treat Jazmin after the bite.
But even with Molly and Rebecca’s help, are Michael and Jazmin any match against Heather?
Michael found Jazmin in the End Zone, and his football career lies within the same End Zone – which will Fate decide is more important; or is it possible he can have both?
