The Tree House

Jack was riding his motocycle down an oak shaded two lane road that snaked its way through the foothills of the Sierras in central California. From the corner of his eye he spotted an ancient tree-house perched in an old twisted oak tree. There had always been something about old tree houses that sparked his curious nature: he always found himself wondering whatever became of the child that so long ago played in them.

He stopped the Harley, dismounted and was taking a closer look at the tree house when he suddenly realized he was being watched by a rather attractive older lady. Jack told her of his fascination with these old structures and how he always wondered how the lives of the children that played in them had unfolded.

The lady pointed to a couple of chairs that were situated on the sagging front porch of a run down old house. This lady informed Jack that she happenened to know the story of the girl's life that once played there.
