Honoré de Balzac's THE THIRTEEN trilogy is comprised of his novels FERRAGUS, THE DUCHESSE DE LANGEAIS, and THE GIRL WITH THE GOLDEN EYES. THE THIRTEEN follows the lives of thirteen different men and women living in France after the defeat of Napoleon in 1815.
