This book came to us while watching an old Nancy Drew movie on TV. Why not a story about a feisty young lady! I have ever read Nancy Drew, Karen has, but I did have a good knowledge of the old movie serials from my dad. Karen serves as the model for Cat. Since I also enjoy reading about history why not use an historical incident in the tale.
