This volume takes Jake from his rescue under the cedar tree by the grassy field, through his life-threatening illness, and ends with his first adventure through the possum hole. This anthology of The Little Pig Dog series combined into one volume is enjoyable reading for ages 9 and up, and is also excellent as a book of stories that can be read to children who are younger. In it they will learn of acceptance, family, home, and that real love lasts forever. Other than photos of Jake, all The Little Pig Dog books are non-illustrated.

Authors Raymond G. and Glenda S.
