Sidetracked: A Short Story

A young man tries to get his cat, Sweetums, into her carrier for a trip to the vet. But when she escapes and makes a beeline for the woods -- the woods where the young man found his parents dead -- he goes after her with trepidation.

What's waiting for him inside causes the fear to rise up his spine.
