Amexican: A Southern California Story

Amexican is a collection of short nonfiction stories based in Southern California and Baja California during the 1970's and the 1980's. There is a heavy emphasis of the impact of Reaganomics on a Mexican American family and their everyday living that ranges from tragic, to harshness to seeking safety and a religious escape to no avail. The short stories are narrated from the perspective of a Mexican American male from the age range of 8 to 20 who creates his own identity.
