Agnes Grey

Agnes Grey is an English novel by Anne Bronte, first published in 1847. The novel is based on Anne Bronte's own experiences as a governess for five years. This novel is similar to her sister's novel-Jane Eyre, she addresses the precarious position of being a governess and its affects on a young woman.
