From the inside flap:
The demise of America, as it was to be known throughout the world, draws near. America's enemies have spent years gathering arms, training and infiltrating our land. The invasion arrives on a warm summer evening-with no forewarning and no mercy. The terrorists don't descriminate between young and old, and their attacks are well-thought-out and extremely vicious.
Standing between them and victory is Abraham Dewalt Nicholson, the first African American president in history. Can Nicholson devise an effective strategy to save the country in time? If there is to be any hope of stopping the ongoing attacks, he must set aside his disdain for the military war machine and find a way to defeat an enemy that has no traditional army and no political leadership with which to negotiate a ceasefire.
Invasion America! leaves little doubt that our country is in danger and that our enemies can-and likely will-strike.
From the back cover:
The invasion of America was easy.
There were no amphibious landings; no paratroopers fell from the sky.
They numbered not in the thousands, but tens of thousands.
We worked with them, trusted them, loved them.
Behind their serene exteriors beat hearts filled with hatred. The death of every American, young and old, was their goal.
We made it easy for them.
If you strike their cities, their strength will be exhausted and their spirits will break!”—Sun-tzu, The Art of War
From Chapter Thirty-two:
Nicholson turned up the volume so he could hear the reporter, "Early figures
indicate more than four thousand seven hundred have already been confirmed dead
from yesterday's attacks. That estimate includes a little over forty-one hundred that were on the planes and close to five hundred others on the ground when the planes were brought down. Those figures do not include unknown thousands that have sustained life-altering injuries or the countless others still missing and presumed dead. "Government officials have been very tight lipped concerning where they believe the terrorists may have appropriated the more than fifty missiles they used to target the nearly three-dozen passenger aircraft. Our military advisors have stated emphatically the weapons are Stinger missiles and are equally convinced they must be part of the allotment the United States gave to Afghan freedom-fighters during their war with the Soviets back in the eighties. How they managed to smuggle those weapons onto the US mainland is still a mystery. What is most frightening is what if they have more? And what else do the terrorists have in store for us?"
Customer reviews from Amazon.com:
The major point in this book,it was written over five years ago and most of what the author predicted would happen, happened except for the outright multiple attacks. I wont go over each detail but suffice it to say you need to read this book and take note the projections and theories are right on. We as an American society have tip toed around political correctness for 50 years. It can and might be our demise not the enemies already here. We as a country have got to get back to the basics and take care of our own. Mr. Wing takes his time to state the facts but does so as an author telling a story to keep us enthralled. I read the book in one day and could not put it down because it states what is happening right now and it states it five years ago. This is a must read and hopefully wakes up some people, unfortunately I doubt it cause we are all too comfortable in our own little worlds and homes. If this book were made into a movie it would not only sell out but would cause demonstrations all over the US from our Muslim brothers who worship the Koran. By Richard E. Heaton "Rich"
This is a real eye opener. There were times when I put the book down and wondered if I were capable of protecting my family in situations like this. What a nightmare. This should be required reading for young adults but unfortunately its too politically incorrect. And the author is dead on right about political correctness and the cancerous effect it is having on our safety and the future of the republic.By DStiers
I finished this book in two days, I could not put it down. Frightening is the best description I can come up with, as this book is so real. While some targets were a little far out, overall this is most likely the next step in terror. My only complaint is we were left hanging at the end, does this mean a sequal? Everyone should read this story and take what they can from it- in this day and age it is only a matter of time, or is it? By Julie Anna Dostal
