The Food of the Gods and How it Came to Earth by H.G. Wells

THE FOOD OF THE GODS is an early science fiction classic by H.G. Wells. Two British scientists have discovered a remarkable substance which accelerates the growth rates for plant and animal life far beyond normal. Experiments result in giant chickens and promise to wipe out hunger, but soon vermin eat the food and grow into giants, threatening humanity. Even more disturbing are the people who eat the food and become giants.
