The concepts of work and wealth occupy much of our time here on earth. As youngsters, we dreamt about what we wanted to become when we grew up, and what we wanted to have when we got bigger. These are universal concerns. It is easy for me to remember that as a child I wanted to grow up to be a minister and teacher—as well as an author. In fact, I could see my name on a set of books. Little did I realize, however, that it would be nearly five decades before I would see my first book published. I had to deal with a lot of living before I was ready to commit my thoughts to paper. There were roadblocks—the ones that I created and the ones that others placed in my way.
So it is with each one of us. The literally hundreds of people whom I have counseled over the years had dreams to be fulfilled, desires to be met, and goals to be attained. Yet, there always seemed to be some sort of roadblock, a hurdle or opposition from family to rise above, and lethargy laid aside. There is generally a sense of fear, blame, shame or guilt to master. No matter how idealistic and humanitarian the goal, there are those things whom would stand in the way, almost as if to say, "How dare you succeed!"
This little volume deals with the negative aspects, the "little foxes" that would keep one from harvesting the "good things" in life.
