This is my first published ebook and was written to memorialize my only son Christopher Lee Patterson who left us way too soon at the age of only 17 years old. He died on December 22, 1999 from injuries in an automobile acciedent.
Volume 1 of "Poems For A Grieving Heart" is the first volume and is part of three planned volumes and is made up of poems and prose that I wrote that has helped me through the loss of my only son, Christopher Lee Patterson.
Then on July 22, 2004 I lost my father and then my mother on November 20, 2006. I have written poetry and prose all my writing life. Through all of these losses I have written in my journal and in poetry so as to ease the pain of my losses.
I have found that writing has opened my heart to those losses and given me new insights and the ability to talk with otheers about their losses as well.
