The Canterbury Tales of Geoffrey Chaucer

THE CANTERBURY TALES is a collection of 26 stories by Geoffrey Chaucer written at the end of the 14th century. The tales are set in medieval England, and are told as part of a story-telling contest among pilgrims on their way to the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. Now more than 700 years old, the tales remain widely read throughout the world.
