When War is Just

If we Christians are commanded to love our enemies, why do so many Christians support the war in Iraq? Does our support contradict Biblical mandates to overcome evil with good? What counsel does God’s Word offer? Christians have historically supported two positions: “pacifist” and “just war.” And they both hinge on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. In this brief devotion, we’ll see if Jesus is teaching against national vengeance or personal revenge.
