This is a memoir about a tuberculosis survivor by the name of Gale. C. Gale Perkins spent 12 years at the Lakeville State Sanatorium in Lakeville Massachusetts, between 1936 and 1948, with Tuberculosis of the bone, which she contracted at the age of three. Gale tells about her experiences while in the hospital during her twelve years at the sanatorium. Gale was paralyzed from the waist down, due to an operation that went bad for two of these years. This story includes many miracles that she experienced in her lifetime. These miracles have reinforced her spiritual beliefs.
