Pete Lombardo isn't the kind of heroic detective you normally encounter. He's definitely a blue-collar kind of guy, kinky, bankrupt, alcoholic, and bookish. He'll take all the divorce work he can get. Pete's psychoanalyst girlfriend is unfaithful, and he has a rotten reputation with the mob, but things really get interesting when Pete runs afoul of a cadre of lesbian Islamic terrorists.
