While traveling through colonies of the British Empire, Rudyard Kipling gathered knowledge and insights, and eventually published a collection of short stories, entitled The Jungle Book. This collection is filled with experiences of a young child, Mowgli, who learns the ways and identities of the animals; he is adopted and raised by wolves in an Indian Jungle. Displaying different customs and traditions, Kipling eluded to the fact that we are all human, generating familiarity with multiple cultures. Not only does he elaborate on cultures, but he also reveals the hypocrisy and fraud of the British colonies.
