Mine Eyes is the 8th story in the book, Struck By Lightning and other bolts of reality. It is a short story about a woman who recklessly searches
for love, and men who take the opportunity to satisfy their desires
at her expense. Tragically, low self-esteem rears it's ugly head as denial, which is the mechanism by which the blinders could be set for the woman allows herself to be abused.
