The Woman in White

Walter Hartright was walking home on his last evening in London. This is when he meets the mysterious woman dressed in white who was very upset. He helps her on her way but later learns that she has escaped from an asylum…and so the mystery begins. The Woman in White is considered to be among the first of mystery novels and is widely regarded one of the finest in the genre of 'sensation novels'.
