The Misguided Souls of Magnolia Springs

Magnolia Springs is a sleepy little town in East Texas with sleepy little people and typical small town problems, tragedies and rivalries. Tyler McDaniels is on a downhill slope with his ex-cheerleader wife. His friend Mike has lost his job and the police sergeant's wife is dying of cancer. The town matriarchs are at each other's throats over property rights and out of the blue, an oddly out of place couple buys a rundown gift shop across the street from the funeral home. Things begin to happen to the townfolk when they come in contact with Mr. and Mrs. Aliger. Soon tongues are wagging and suspicions run high that all is not as it should be with the Aligers. And well they should be worried for the Aligers are in town for a reason. Their hidden agenda slowly comes to light as the townspeople get to know more about them. But who are they and where did they really come from? Are their motives less than friendly or do they have a lot to learn about themselves?
The couple wiggles their way into their neighbors' lives, ingratiating some while infuriating others. As the story unfolds it is difficult to decide whose side they are on. Furthermore, the lovely couple seem to have marital problems of their own in spite of the near perfect existence they present at first.
