Camping at Cherry Pond (31 pages, copyright 1916, public domain) is number 3 of 19 small and rare, self-published, "Birch Bark Books" written by Henry Abbott. It is a true story about the experiences of the author and his partner, Bige, deer hunting and camping at Cherry Pond in the Adirondack region of New York state. Obtaining a "balanced ration" proves a challenge, due to the deer's sense of smell and sight, and tree's that get in the way of bullets. Other animals, such as mink, beaver and bear, are observed and their habits described.

Places named are Cherry Pond, Panther Mountain, Eagle Mountain, Wolf Mountain, Beaver River, Fox River, Pickwocket Pond and Muskrat City.

This edition contains all of the text of the original book, including the 6 images, and was specially formatted for ePub readers.
