A Plausible Diversion

Twins Garrit and Garnet Westin have fallen in love with friends they have known since childhood. Chip and Mary Alice Wittler – their sweethearts – are brother and sister. Just when the realization that they cannot live without one another descends fully upon their hearts, their dream is broken by the harsh knowledge of a dark reason why the two couples can never ethically marry – a reason that has shamed both sets of parents for their entire lives. Desperate to spare their families more pain, the four young people seek an opportunity to find a resolution to their shared heartache, and an innocent game of miniature golf becomes the only plausible diversion.
