Jimmy Green, a young delivery boy in a Washington, D.C., urban neighborhood, is threatened with bodily harm by Stone, the local gang leader, unless he pays “insurance” money to the gang. Jimmy goes to Jonas Clark, the local cop, who tells him that there’s not much the law can do. It’s Jimmy’s word against the gang, and even if they prosecute, Jimmy risks death or injury from the other gang members for “ratting.”
Clark, disturbed by Jimmy’s story, tells his three racquetball buddies about the situation. All four of them are ex army MP’s. The three friends, knowing that Clark can’t act outside the law because he is a cop, decide to go after the gang and stop their illegal activities.
They attack the gang and then realize that they also have to stop the local drug kingpin who controls the gang. They do not anticipate the deadly consequences they face when they bite off more than they can chew.
