"Stunning new talent!"...
Andrew Neiderman, author of The Devil's Advocate
AN EARLY NOVEL BY THE AUTHOR OF THE
NIGHTENGALE LEGACY OF SIN AND BETRAYAL
Trapped by deceitful parents, made terribly unhappy by an alcoholic and abusive father and a secretive mother who betrays him one time too many, Thomas Carpenter is about to experience a dark and terrible secret that he can share with no one if he hopes to survive. For Tom has a visitor -- an unearthly visitor! -- who defies reality!
A Black Swan. A happening that goes beyond what is logical, what is real. A Black Swan that goes beyond reality! A Black Swan in the form of a deadly Doppelganger that is determined to destroy everyone including Tom!
Betrayed by his family and his friends, battling to retain his mind, spirit, and body too from the unlikely intruder, Tom is helpless but to stand by and watch the unexpected Black Swan murder the people closest to him one by one...
Yearning for a normal life again, Tom knows what it is he must let the Black Swan do to regain some kind of normality once and for all in his life. Tom must let the Black Swan destroy the two people who have made him the most unhappy, the most miserable. And only when they are gone will Tom Carpenter be free to call his life his own again.
Or will he?
From Black Swan Doppelganger...
The massive steel door slammed shut behind him, sealing the man behind it forever. He ranted and raved and carried on insanely but no one paid any attention to him. After all, everyone thought that he was crazy, that he belonged right here where he was, so why would anyone listen to his deranged accusations now?
If only they had listened closer to him! Because every one of his allegations were true, damn it, that’s why they should have listened closer to him! But the bad man and the bad woman had done a thorough job of convincing everyone that the newly-imprisoned man was truly crazy, insane, out-of-touch, sick beyond repair or recovery. And maybe, just maybe, he was!
The bad man and the bad women stood close together even though they had no business being together at all. They stood hand in hand, watching the insane man through a small, barred window in the door as he beat again and again with his fists on a dismal, gray cinder-block wall to no avail. The bad man and the bad woman were both smiling sweet little smiles of deception. Their scheme had worked and they were finally together at last! The bad man squeezed his lover’s hand, reassuring her again that what they had done was the right thing to do. There was no other way for them to ever be together except to get rid of her meddlesome and increasingly-frightening husband altogether!
Murder was out for neither of them wanted to go to prison. At least it was out of the question for now, but they could not see years into the future. Instead, it was easier to convince everyone that the man was really and truly crazy because most of the time he acted like that was just what he was in the first place. And the more he studied those evil and dark books of his - the more people believed them!
So before long the man would be just that - really and truly crazy. And it had been so easy to commit him and murder was so messy. Neither of them had reached the point yet where they would risk murder!

How many times do I hear people say, "I am going to write a book?" Most of the time, they don't and the literary world is grateful. Once in a while, you come across someone who had the energy and determination to see it through and you are happy he did. Such is the case with Justin Dwayne Foxworth in his breakout novel, Valerie. I highly recommend you give a new talent a chance and read his work. I'm sure you'll want more of his character development and plots developed into more novels to enjoy...
